Car parking

If you are driving to the Mater Hospital, there are both multi-storey and on-street parking options available.

Parking can be in high demand, especially during busy weekday periods. Please allow yourself extra time to park and reach your destination. Alternatively, you may wish to consider public transport for your journey. Learn more about getting here by bus, train or bike.

Multi-storey car park

The multi-storey underground car park is located on Eccles Street:

• From Dorset Street, it is on the right-hand side.
• From Berkeley Road, it is on the left-hand side.

Look for the Euro Car Park sign. The car park has 440 spaces, but it can fill up quickly during peak times.

There are two exits from the car park into the hospital:

• Emergency Department: Follow the red signs.
• All Other Areas: Follow the green signs for the Mater Hospital/A-Lifts.

The underground car park is not operated by the Mater Hospital. It is managed by Euro Car Parks on behalf of Eccles Street Car Park Limited. Any queries about the car park, should be directed to this company mater@eurocarparks.ie​

On street parking

On-street 'Pay and Display' parking is also available around the hospital.

• Check street signs to confirm parking availability and rates.
• Rates range depending on the zone.
• Most machines accept cash only

Please note that on-street parking is in high demand and regularly monitored by Dublin Street Parking Services, with clamping in operation.
