Biography:
Dr Gerard Giblin graduated from University College Dublin and completed Cardiology Higher Specialist Training with the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland. He completed fellowship training in cardiovascular MRI and CT at the Royal Brompton and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London and advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation at Harefield Hospital, London. Following this, he completed further clinical and research fellowships in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, heart transplantation and cardiac amyloidosis at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital & Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Mater in 2022.
